Global Stone was established in 1995, and has been leading the Textured Concrete industry ever since, designing and constructing rock and water features for a variety of projects of different sizes. We continue to develop and grow in the industry creating modern products and expanding our range of products to keep up with the market needs. Global Stone was founded by Engineer Youssef ElKhadem in 1995. The know how was taken from an American Company, Urdls Waterfalls, in Delray Beach Florida, and the installation for our first large scale project was done as a joint venture between us, that project was Hayatt Rgency Sharm El Sheikh in 1997. We have since designed and constructed rock and water features for a variety of projects of different sizes, to name a few Hilton waterfalls in Sharm el Sheikh, La Vista Resort in Ein Sokhna And Recently at the North Coast, Telal Both Ein El Sokhna and the North Coast, and many private residences.
Since then we become the leaders in the engineered stone production in Egypt. We continue to develop and grow in the industry creating modern products and expanding our range of products to include wall cladding, flooring, Fireplace Surroundings and Outdoor Living Solutions, and much more to keep up with the market needs. Through our knowledge and passion, We have developed special techniques used in manufacturing in order to give the natural look while avoiding the destruction of mother nature.
Our products are mostly made of inert polypropylene reinforced concrete, from 0.5cm-5cm thick varying according to texture and size, also known as Glass Reinforced Concrete GRC. We use GRC mostly in most of our mixtures, and adjusted it to give the optimal performance for each product given the differences in functionality, texture and size.
Our products are handcrafted in molds taken from real rocks and formations, to form boulders and panels. As for boulders, they weigh around one fifth of their counterparts in mother nature. These rocks are very strong and durable, and because of the concrete and molding process they look very realistic and they come in various color shades, and require little maintenance.
Flooring, installation depends on two aspects the ground condition on site and the thickness of the product, and accordingly it is decided whether the products are installed on concrete or simply directly on sand.
Outdoor Stairs and Stepping Stones. Our Stairs are cast as riser and tread as one unit, so they can be directly installed on sand, with no reinforced concrete needed below it. This allows for the flexibility of the installation and forming the steps route according to the set landscaping. As for the stepping stones, they can be directly placed directly on the landscaping used, no need for concrete below it, it is usually installed at the final stages of the garden completion.
Waterfalls are installed on block or concrete supporting surfaces, which are appropriately treated for waterproofing, to prevent leakage of any water. Our formations are a combination of boulders and panels attached to the supporting element by galvanized steel dowels, nuts and washers. The waterfall installation requires their blending with the natural elements so each design is unique to its location.
